For Purpose Aged Care is seeking a Finance Business Applications Specialist to join our growing IT team. This is a unique opportunity to become the primary technology owner for critical finance and workforce management applications that support our organisation and aged care communities.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Head of Data & AI, you will act as the key link between Finance, Payroll, Operations, People & Culture, and IT. You will ensure our finance and workforce applications operate reliably, securely, and efficiently while supporting ongoing transformation initiatives and reporting improvements.

This role combines business application support, vendor management, systems administration, governance, and project delivery, offering excellent variety and exposure across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance & Payroll Application Support
• Own and support finance and workforce applications, including payroll, rostering, finance and reporting systems.
• Provide Level 1 and 2 support, managing incidents, requests, and escalations.
• Support key processes such as payroll, billing, month-end activities, and reporting.
• Identify recurring issues and drive system improvements.

Finance & Workforce Systems

• Support finance processes including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain data integrity and optimise system performance.
• Assist with payroll configuration, rostering, time & attendance, and system integrations.

Vendor & Governance Management

• Liaise with vendors to manage incidents, enhancements, and performance.
  Administer user access, security roles, and system controls.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Support system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Assist with Power BI reporting and finance system transformation initiatives.
• Participate in testing, training, change management, and process improvement activities.
• Drive automation and efficiency opportunities across finance and payroll processes.

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working across business and technology teams. You can communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting finance, payroll, ERP, workforce management, and business applications is a key component
• Strong understanding of finance and payroll processes, including payroll, rostering, AP/AR, general ledger, and financial reporting. 
• Experience supporting business applications, managing incidents, vendors, and service levels.
• Knowledge of user access management, security controls, and role-based permissions.
• Ability to analyse and validate data using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience within aged care, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
Mandatory Requirements

Current National Police Check or Willing to obtain
Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or valid Australian work rights.
