About the role

ARB Midland is seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to join our team in Midland, WA. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to lead and manage workshop operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop activities, supervising team members, and ensuring all work is completed to ARB's exacting standards. You will play a crucial part in driving efficiency, maintaining quality control, and fostering a positive workplace culture within our automotive workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop operations and prioritise work schedules to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

• Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure it meets ARB's rigorous quality standards.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to workshop team members, supporting their professional development.

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and time spent on each job.

• Monitor and manage workshop inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of parts and materials.

• Identify areas for improvement in workshop processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations at all times.

• Liaise with management regarding operational issues, staffing needs and customer concerns.

• Assist with training and induction of new workshop staff members.

What we're looking for

• A hands-on Leader.

• Strong technical knowledge in 4x4 accessories and 12 Volt.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.

• Strong organisational and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions independently.

• A valid driver's licence.

• Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications (preferred).
