Experienced Accountant – Business Services & Tax

We are a well-established and progressive accounting practice based in West Perth, committed to providing exceptional accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and wants to further develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing high-quality accounting and taxation services, including:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.

• Preparation and review of BAS, IAS and other ATO compliance obligations.

• Tax planning and business advisory services.

• Liaising directly with clients and providing proactive advice.

• Assisting clients with cloud accounting solutions, including Xero.

• Supporting senior team members and mentoring junior staff where required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.

• A recognised accounting qualification.

• CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards your CA or CPA.

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.

• Experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
