This is predominantly a cleaning role but may involve some light kitchen hand duties such as clearing dishes and breakfast assistance.  We require a high standard of cleanliness to all areas, including the kitchen, office rooms, waiting areas and wards. You will be required to comply with our cleaning practice guidelines; experience working in healthcare will be an advantage to your success in this role.  We welcome applicants who work in a friendly and supportive manner and maintain communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders, ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved.

Essential criteria:

• Previous cleaning experience in health or hospitality environment

• Enjoy providing a great customer service experience

• Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work

• Be dedicated to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness and infection control

• Demonstrated understanding and competency in manual handling training, chemical use, hand hygiene and food safety

• Comply with the Infection Control Standards

• Comply with the requirements of our WHS Safety Management System to enhance patients, staff and visitors comfort and safety 

Desirable:  

• Flexibility for workday, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts  

• Hospital / healthcare cleaning experience preferred 

As a pre-requisite for this role, successful candidates will be required to provide an up-to-date National Police Clearance and Blue Card.
