Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Sale Community Mental Health Team on a full time or part time (0.8 EFT) basis. This is an opportunity to provide clinical leadership, support a skilled multidisciplinary team and contribute to high-quality, recovery-oriented care for adults across the Gippsland community.

About the Role

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will provide clinical leadership within the Sale Community Mental Health Team while maintaining a clinical caseload.

Working closely with the Site and Operations Manager and other senior clinicians, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing accessible clinical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary team members.
• Supporting clinicians through mentoring, consultation, professional development and reflective practice.
• Providing evidence-based, recovery-oriented assessment, treatment and care coordination.
• Completing comprehensive mental health assessments and developing person-centred care plans.
• Working in partnership with consumers, families and carers to achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.
• Developing effective relationships with health services, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
• Contributing to quality improvement, service development and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Promoting a culture of safety, inclusion, collaboration and continuous learning.

About You

You are an experienced mental health professional who wants to use your expertise to support both consumers and colleagues. You lead with curiosity, compassion and confidence. You are comfortable navigating complex clinical situations, bringing people together and supporting thoughtful, evidence-based decisions. Most importantly, you understand that strong clinical leadership is about being visible, approachable and committed to helping others succeed.

You will bring:

• At least five years' experience in mental health services, including senior clinical leadership or leadership responsibilities
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
• The confidence to provide guidance in complex clinical situations
• Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative and flexible approach to multidisciplinary practice
• A commitment to recovery-orientated, person-centred and family-inclusion care
• Enthusiasm for continuous improvement, learning and professional development.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health; or
• Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker eligible for relevant professional registration.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary mental health practice, legislation and relevant standards.
