General Manager & Finance Broker

Allied Finance, part of the award-winning QPF Finance Group, is seeking an experienced commercial banking or property finance professional with strong leadership experience to lead our Western Australian operation.

This unique role combines leadership responsibility with a strong focus on business development. You will be responsible for building and growing your own portfolio of commercial and residential property finance clients while leading a high-performing team and driving business growth. Approximately 60% of your time will be focused on business development, relationship management and loan origination.

The role offers considerable opportunity to identify and develop commercial and residential property finance opportunities from Allied Finance's existing Equipment Finance client base, as well as through your own referral networks and business development activities. This makes the position ideally suited to a Business Banker, Commercial Relationship Manager, Senior Lending Manager or Commercial Broker looking to combine leadership with portfolio growth.

About the Role

As General Manager, you'll be entrusted with leading all aspects of the business, including:

Leadership & Operations

• Lead and manage daily business operations

• Drive an exceptional client experience culture

• Monitor workflow, productivity, and team capacity

• Recruit, mentor, and develop staff

• Conduct performance and annual reviews

• Implement training and development programs

• Oversee office infrastructure, systems, and facilities management

Strategic Growth & Business Development

• Assist in the development and execution of the business strategy

• Deliver meaningful management reporting and business insights

• Identify growth opportunities within existing client relationships

• Develop referral and vendor partner networks

• Collaborate with the Group Marketing Team to execute marketing initiatives

• Build and grow your own portfolio of commercial and residential property finance clients, including identifying opportunities within Allied Finance's existing Equipment Finance client base.

Lender & Industry Relationships

• Develop and maintain strong lender relationships

• Coordinate lender engagement and product training activities

• Ensure lender panel suitability and competitiveness

• Support lender accreditation requirements and compliance obligations

Compliance & Risk Management

• Work closely with the Group Compliance Team

• Ensure ongoing compliance obligations are maintained

• Promote a strong risk and governance culture throughout the business

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Proven experience leading and managing teams

• Strong experience within banking, finance, or lending

• Business banking or property finance industry experience

• Demonstrated business development and relationship management capability

• Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement

Key Skills

• Strong leadership and people management capability

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Strategic thinking and commercial acumen

• Highly organised with strong planning skills

• Knowledge of lending and finance industry practices

• Understanding of compliance, operational, HR, and business systems

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, or a related discipline (desirable)
