About the role
As Compliance & Contracts Manager, you will oversee the organisation's compliance framework and manage our obligations across state and federal training contracts.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing and monitoring RTO compliance requirements and regulatory obligations.
Maintaining compliance with the Standards for RTOs and applicable VET legislation and regulatory requirements.
Managing government-funded training contracts across multiple Australian states and territories.
Monitoring and interpreting different state-based funding guidelines, eligibility requirements, evidence requirements and contractual obligations.
Ensuring enrolments and funding claims comply with the requirements of the relevant state funding authority.
Monitoring apprenticeship and traineeship funding requirements where applicable.
Reviewing student files and enrolment documentation to ensure funding and compliance requirements are met.
Conducting regular internal audits and compliance reviews.
Preparing the organisation for external audits, funding reviews and regulatory monitoring.
Managing audit evidence and coordinating responses to audit findings.
Monitoring changes to funding contracts, regulatory requirements and VET policy across different jurisdictions.
Reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures, forms and compliance documentation.
Working with trainers and administration staff to ensure training and assessment records meet compliance requirements.
Monitoring trainer and assessor compliance, including qualifications, industry currency and scope requirements.
Reviewing training and assessment strategies and supporting documentation.
Monitoring AVETMISS and student management system data quality.
Identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Maintaining compliance registers, evidence and reporting requirements.
Providing compliance advice and guidance to management and staff.
Supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail who can also see the bigger operational picture.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in an RTO compliance, contracts or quality management role.
Strong knowledge of the Australian VET sector and RTO regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience managing government-funded training contracts across multiple Australian states or territories.
Strong understanding of the differences between state-based funding programs, contractual requirements, eligibility rules and evidence requirements.
Experience with apprenticeship and traineeship funding arrangements.
Experience preparing for and participating in RTO, regulatory and government funding audits.
Strong understanding of student enrolment, eligibility, evidence and record-keeping requirements.
Knowledge of AVETMISS and RTO student management systems.
Strong document management and record-keeping skills.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
The ability to interpret contracts, guidelines, standards and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical processes for staff.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jurisdictions, deadlines and reporting requirements simultaneously.
Experience with aXcelerate would be mandatory.
