Casual Event Hosts & Facilitators

Love sport, competition and working with people? This could be your kind of casual job.

Hidden Door Experiences is looking for energetic, confident and reliable people to join our Sydney event crew.

You’ll help deliver corporate team activities across Sydney, ranging from Amazing Races and Sports Days to Survivor experiences and large-scale company events.

This isn’t your typical hospitality or event staffing role. You’ll be actively involved in running the experience, leading groups, explaining challenges, keeping the energy high and making sure everyone has a great time.

WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING

Depending on the event, you might:

• Brief large groups of people and run checkpoints during an Amazing Race
• Referee team challenges and sports activities
• Lead groups through competitive games and activities
• Assist with event setup and pack down
• Keep scores, explain rules and manage rotations
• MC smaller activities as your confidence grows
• Work alongside our experienced Event Hosts at major corporate events

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need formal event experience.

We’re more interested in people who are:

• Confident speaking to groups
• Friendly, outgoing and professional
• Naturally organised and dependable
• Comfortable being active and on their feet
• Interested in sport, recreation, coaching or events
• Able to think on their feet when things change
• Happy working as part of a small event team

This role can suit people with backgrounds in sport coaching, recreation, fitness, teaching, camp leadership, hospitality, tourism or community sport.

ABOUT THE WORK

Our events take place at hotels, parks, conference venues, offices and sporting facilities throughout Sydney.

Most shifts are between 3-4 hours, with a mix of weekday, evening and occasional weekend work.

Hours are casual and vary depending on our event calendar, so the role works particularly well alongside study, coaching, another casual job or other flexible commitments.

Our Sydney operations are based in Waterloo, although events are held right across Sydney so having access to a car is desirable.
