Role Description This full-time remote Accountant role is responsible for managing the financial operations that support Assignment Cart’s daily business activities. The Accountant will handle bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The role includes preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will also assist with financial analysis, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with operations and management to provide accurate, timely financial information.
Qualifications
Strong skills in general accounting, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis.Ability to use accounting and spreadsheet software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Excel or similar tools).Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and standard accounting principles (GAAP or equivalent).Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.Prior experience in an online services, education, or SaaS environment is beneficial.
