About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to join our team at our Sydney office on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their accounting career or looking to develop their bookkeeping and accounting skills in a supportive environment. You will work closely with our experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in a range of accounting functions whilst contributing to the delivery of quality financial services to our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Processing invoices, receipts and other financial documents accurately and efficiently

• Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts

• Entering financial transactions into accounting software and maintaining comprehensive records

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision

• Supporting the month-end and year-end close procedures

• Following up on outstanding invoices and assisting with accounts receivable functions

• Performing general administrative duties related to accounting operations

What we're looking for

• A relevant accounting qualification or currently undertaking an accounting qualification (such as bachelor, CPA, CA or similar)

• Familiarity with accounting software Xero and Excel

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and general accounting concepts

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Candidate will need to be able to speak English and Chinese.

• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred
