Senior Regulatory Officer

About the Role 

Regulatory professionals undertake an assessment of matters in line with agreed processes and NDIS legislation. They also use decision making capability and work within a defined regulatory framework and risk prioritisation model aligned to organisational policy and procedure. 

The Senior Regulatory Officer is responsible for managing complex matters via a triage, assessment and escalation. The role also provides support to the Assistant Director through the mentoring and guidance of other team members. 

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead and supervise geographically diverse teams supporting the assessment of matters aligned to the agency’s risk-based prioritisation model to determine regulatory action required and undertake supporting compliance and enforcement activities which may include compliance actions and site visits.
• Provide high-quality, consistent and timely regulatory services to the public across several channels including handling of inbound and outbound calls, email and web based notifications.
• Reviewing and actioning regulatory notifications via the provider portal and managing a caseload of complex matters, ensuring escalation based on risk.
