Recruitment Consultant - Finance & Accounting

We're a boutique specialist in Finance, Accounting, and Technology recruitment. Since launching in 2021 we've partnered with a diverse range of organisations, from major Financial Services firms and global listed companies to not-for-profits.

We're ambitious, and on a mission to become Australia's go-to agency for Finance & Accounting and Technology talent. The foundations are in place, and now we're looking for a Recruitment Consultant ready to take the next step in their career and grow with us.

Backing that ambition, we've just moved into a bigger office at Cubes.Co, 347 Kent Street, built for the next stage of our growth and the people who'll drive it. You'll be in the heart of Sydney's CBD, a short walk from Wynyard and Town Hall.

Let's be upfront: this is a sales role. Recruitment done well is business development, and that's where you'll spend most of your energy. You'll be picking up the phone, getting out to meet clients face to face, winning new business, and building relationships that turn into long-term partnerships.

You'll run a full 360 desk from day one in one of our most in-demand practice areas, with the backing of experienced directors who are hands-on and invested in your success. You'll partner with clients across:

• Financial & Management Accounting
• Financial Control, Reporting & Treasury
• Audit, Risk & Compliance
• Commercial & Business Analysis
• Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
• Transactional Finance
• Finance Transformation & Systems Projects

The candidates matter, and you'll place skilled finance professionals into roles that move their careers forward. But the consultants who thrive here are the ones who love the chase: finding new clients, winning the mandate, and growing a desk they can call their own.

• Generate your own business through cold and warm outreach, networking, client meetings, and referrals.
• Get in front of clients regularly. Coffee catch-ups, site visits, and face-to-face meetings are core to how we work, not a nice-to-have.
• Build and grow a portfolio of clients who come back to you again and again.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, delivering a great experience for both clients and candidates.
• Build talent pipelines and stay close to what's happening in the Finance & Accounting market.
• Consistently set and hit sales targets, backed by drive, focus, and persistence.

• 1-2 years' recruitment experience, ideally in Finance & Accounting (agency or internal, or strong B2B sales experience with an appetite for recruitment).
• Someone who's energised by sales. You enjoy prospecting, you're comfortable on the phone, and you'd rather be in front of a client than behind a desk.
• Early signs of a track record: business won, placements made, or targets hit.
• Self-motivation, resilience, and the persistence to keep going when the first call doesn't land.
• A confident, relationship-driven style, and the ambition to grow into engaging senior stakeholders.
