About the role

Menarock LIFE is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (Aged Care) to join our team on a part-time, casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults whilst maintaining flexibility in your working arrangements. Based in Camberwell, VIC you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to our residents in an aged care setting. This role is essential to ensuring our residents receive the clinical expertise and person-centred care they deserve.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering direct clinical nursing care to aged care residents, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions

• Administering medications and managing complex health conditions in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice standards

• Conducting comprehensive health assessments and monitoring the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, allied health professionals and care staff, to develop and implement individualised care plans

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of resident care, medical records and progress notes

• Supporting residents and their families with communication regarding health status, care planning and any changes to their condition

• Promoting dignity, independence and quality of life for all residents whilst upholding infection control and safety protocols

• Contributing to a positive workplace culture and supporting ongoing staff development and training

What we're looking for

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Demonstrated experience working in aged care nursing or similar healthcare settings

• Strong knowledge of aged care principles, including understanding of common conditions affecting older adults such as dementia, falls prevention and chronic disease management

• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to respond appropriately to changing health needs

• Proficiency in medication management and administration

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and care staff

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment

• Commitment to person-centred care and maintaining the dignity and respect of all residents

• A current NDIS Check (or willingness to obtain )

• Vaccination status compliant with current aged care requirements

• Preferred: Experience with electronic health record systems and aged care strengthened standards
