Plant Fitter

Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, and ore processing operations. The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Fitter to join our Surface Maintenance team at our Pajingo operations.

This is a great opportunity to work on a 7/7 day and night rotating roster, offering excellent work-life balance.

As a Plant Fitter, you'll be responsible for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations across our fixed plant and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed plant and ancillary equipment (crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, tanks, agitators, etc).
• Conduct preventative maintenance and attend to breakdowns.
• Complete documentation and reports to a high standard.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, trades, and production teams.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.

About You

Essential:

• Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter).
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining or gold processing industry.
• Strong safety mindset with a proactive approach.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to adhere to site procedures and values.

Desirable:

• G1, G8, G9 certifications.
• Exposure to root cause analysis and improvement processes.
