Bookkeeper

The job. We’re after a Bookkeeper.
Cassette is a creative communications agency and we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. Reporting to the CFO, you will manage a range of finance tasks within a dynamic and agency environment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. You will be extremely organised, diligent, have strong communication skills and enjoy working independently as well as within a team environment.
This is a part-time role of approximately 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility around working hours. The role is offered in a hybrid arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar roleA passion for working in a fast-paced team environment and delivering great outcomes for the businessUp-to-date knowledge and understanding of current finance practicesAn ability to prioritise, focus and possess excellent attention to detailAbility to work accurately to tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in AccountAbility or comparable accounting software desiredA Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification (desirable)Enthusiasm for adopting AI tools (within policy) to improve efficiency and accuracy in finance processesStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage supplier and debtor relationships independentlyAbility to work comfortably and confidently with senior leadership
The responsibilities.Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts PayableManaging supplier invoices and paymentsReconciling creditor accountsLiaising with suppliers and resolving payment queriesClient Invoicing and Accounts ReceivablePreparing and issuing client invoicesMonitoring outstanding accounts and following up paymentsAssisting with billing queries and debtor reportingReconciliations, Reporting and Data EntryCompleting month-end reconciliations and reportingPreparing financial reports and supporting cash flow managementMaintaining accurate financial records and providing financial support as requiredSystems, Administration and General DutiesMaintaining the accounting system and financial recordsManaging finance administration and queriesGeneral data entry and ad hoc duties as required
