The Role - Building Approval Admin Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Approval Admin Officer to manage residential building approvals across QLD and NSW. This role is responsible for coordinating applications, liaising with key stakeholders, and ensuring approvals are obtained efficiently and in compliance with all requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage building approval applications from lodgement through to approval

• Work with certifiers, councils and internal teams to keep approvals progressing smoothly

• Coordinate energy assessments and respond to approval-related requests and queries

• Review plans and documentation to ensure compliance with approval requirements

• Maintain accurate project records, approval tracking and documentation updates

• Support the team by providing technical guidance and contributing to a positive team environment

 Skills & Experience

• Experience within the residential construction industry, or council experience for residential construction is highly regarded

• Ability to read and interpret plans 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Outstanding organisational and time management skills

• Exceptional problem-solving skills

• Those from a certifier background highly regarded
