CIVIL - OPERATOR - SEMI WATERCART DRIVER

About the Role

Maincrew Pty Ltd is actively seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators with proven Water Cart experience and a current HC Driver’s Licence for civil and earthworks projects across Western Australia’s mining and resources sector.

Projects include bulk earthworks, road construction and maintenance, drill pad preparation, mine rehabilitation and exploration support.

The Work

Your duties may include:

• Bulk earthworks, including cut and fill, benching and stockpiling

• Haul road construction, watering and maintenance

• Dust suppression across haul roads, access tracks and active work areas

• Drill pad construction and levelling

• Mine-site rehabilitation, including ripping, re-contouring and topsoil spreading

• Exploration track and pad construction

• Drainage, bunding and water-management earthworks

• General civil works, including trenching, backfilling and compaction

• Supporting earthworks crews across changing operational requirements

Plant You May Be Operating

Depending on your experience and current competencies, you may operate:

• Water Carts, including semi-trailer configurations

• Excavators

• Dozers

• Graders

• Front End Loaders

• Articulated or rigid Dump Trucks

• Rollers and Compactors

• Scrapers

• Skid Steers or Bobcats

While operating experience is required, strong Water Cart capability and a current HC licence are essential for this position.

About You

You will be an experienced and adaptable operator who can confidently move between Water Cart duties and other items of mobile plant as site requirements change.

You will understand how your role supports production, road conditions, environmental compliance and the safety of other operators working across the project.

You will demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Operator

• Strong Water Cart experience, preferably including semi Water Carts

• Experience operating heavy plant across mining, civil or earthworks projects

• A sound understanding of civil earthworks processes

• Experience with cut and fill, road construction, compaction or rehabilitation works

• A strong understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements

• Good awareness of changing ground, traffic and site conditions

• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

• Clear radio communication and the ability to work effectively within a crew

You’ll Need

• Current HC Driver’s Licence – essential

• Water Cart ticket, competency or current Verification of Competency – essential

• Current VOCs or demonstrated competency across multiple items of mobile plant

• Construction Industry White Card

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence

• National Police Clearance issued within the past six months, or willingness to obtain one

• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screening

• Unrestricted Australian working rights
