Water Resources Asset Engineer

The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Water Resources Asset Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team. Benefits

• $89,037 - $109,790 p.a. + super + locality allowance

• Full Time + Monthly RDO

About the Role

• Develop and manage Council's stormwater and marine asset management plans.

• Deliver hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support flood management and infrastructure planning.

• Plan and prioritise capital works programs aligned with long-term strategic objectives.

• Identify and deliver flood mitigation initiatives that improve community safety and resilience.

• Prepare business cases, funding submissions and secure external grant opportunities for priority projects.

• Provide specialist engineering advice and work collaboratively with internal teams, government agencies and the community.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in stormwater, drainage or floodplain asset management.

• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling.

• Experience in asset management, risk assessment and capital works planning.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical engineering solutions.
