As a Chef at Franc Jrs, your tasks include (but are not limited to): Preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu and maintaining the high standards of Franc Jrs Organising the kitchen and ensuring food is prepared efficiently, consistently, and to the required quality Monitoring the quality and presentation of dishes throughout preparation and service Contribute with menu planning and developing seasonal specials in line with ingredient availability Supervising and providing guidance to Cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with senior chefs and management for ordering and supply needs Overseeing food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures in compliance with regulations Qualification & experience Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a Chef, ideally within a venue of similar culture and fast-paced kitchen environment Relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent recognised qualification Demonstrated experience in planning, preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness procedures in accordance with Australian regulations Ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen operations and assist senior chefs in daily service requirements Proven ability to work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude under pressure Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays Applications from Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are highly encouraged.
