About the role
Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW?
Together, we create thriving environments, communities and economies.
The Grants Branch is looking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Secretariat Officer to play a crucial governance role in supporting the Environmental Trust Board and its Technical Review Committees. This position provides high-level secretariat, governance, and administrative support for important Trust Board meetings. Additionally, the role aims to enhance accountability, transparency, and effective decision-making across the Trust's Technical Review Committees.
You will work closely with senior executives, committee chairs, and members to ensure the smooth and professional operation of Trust Board governance processes. This includes preparing the Trust Board meeting agenda, coordinating meeting papers, minutes, speaking notes, correspondence, and briefing materials. You will work with various teams within the Grants Branch to support committee-related processes and provide consistent advice and oversight for inquiries related to committee membership, member recruitment and committee operations in general.
About You
You are an organised, proactive, reliable, and trusted professional with a strong background in board and committee management, ideally in a governance or ministerial environment. You are confident working independently and autonomously, exercising sound judgement to plan, prioritise and deliver high-quality secretariat support within agreed timeframes and protocols. You are solutions- focused, bring a high level of integrity, discretion and ethical standards and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information and supporting senior decision- making forums.
