Barista / Emerging Shift Supervisor

We’re a busy, community‑focused bakery with four thriving stores, and we’re looking for an experienced barista who’s ready for the next step — or someone with natural leadership potential who wants to grow into shift supervision.

About the Role

This position combines hands‑on barista work with the opportunity to develop supervisory skills. You will:

• Prepare high‑quality coffee consistently during peak periods

• Deliver warm, friendly customer service

• Support smooth daily operations, including customer flow and cleanliness

• Work a mix of opening shifts, closing shifts, and rostered weekend shifts

• Communicate clearly with team members and assist with problem‑solving

• Learn and take on shift‑supervisor responsibilities with training and support

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Strong barista experience (or fast learning ability with the right attitude)

• A calm, positive presence during busy shifts

• Initiative and confidence to step up when needed

• A team‑first mindset and great communication skills

• Reliability, maturity, and pride in their work

• Flexibility to work early starts, late finishes, and weekends as part of the roster

• A strong work ethic and the reliability to support our fast‑paced, high‑standard team

Growth Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build leadership skills. You don’t need prior supervising experience — just the willingness to learn and the potential to lead.
