About the role

We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Information Technology (ANZ) to lead technology across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Group CIO, you'll be responsible for IT strategy, service delivery, cybersecurity, infrastructure, business systems and digital transformation across the region. As part of your role your key stakeholders include the Managing Director Australia and Managing Director NZ.  This critical leadership role will shape the technology roadmap, support business growth and ensure secure, scalable and high-performing IT operations.

You will also play a key role in integrating acquisitions into the Group's technology environment and supporting future expansion across the APAC region.

Artificial intelligence is a strategic priority for the Beijer Ref Group. You will be part of bringing AI capability into the region in a safe, governed and commercially grounded way — turning it into measurable improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the ANZ IT strategy aligned with Global IT objectives and business priorities.

• Act as a trusted technology partner to senior leaders across the region.

• Lead and develop a high-performing IT team across support, infrastructure and business systems across both Australia and New Zealand.

• Oversee IT service delivery, ensuring a consistent and customer-focused experience across the business.

• Manage and optimise core business platforms including Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, CRM and Power Platform.

• Drive digital transformation, business process improvement, automation and system integration initiatives. Drive, the adoption of AI across ANZ — identifying, prioritising and delivering use cases, with clear business cases and measurable value.

• Lead the regional data and analytics agenda — covering business intelligence, reporting, data quality and master data management — so that decision-making across ANZ is based on trusted, consistent data.

• Ensure robust cybersecurity, risk management, compliance and data privacy practices.

• Lead major technology projects and strategic initiatives from planning through to delivery.

• Manage the successful integration of newly acquired businesses into the Group's IT environment.

• Oversee IT governance, budgets, policies and operational performance across ANZ.

• Lead vendor and contract management across the regional technology portfolio, including managed service providers and software licensing, with a focus on commercial value, service performance and risk.

About you

You are an experienced technology leader with a proven track record leading complex IT environments across multiple business units. You combine strategic leadership, strong commercial acumen and operational excellence to deliver technology outcomes that support business growth.

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading IT functions across multiple business units and countries.

• Strong leadership experience across infrastructure, service delivery, cybersecurity and enterprise applications.

• Experience supporting business growth and integrating acquired businesses.

• A strong understanding of cloud technologies, cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, CRM platforms and the Microsoft Power Platform.

• A solid grounding in data and analytics — business intelligence, data quality and master data — and an understanding of how to turn data into commercial decisions.

• Demonstrated vendor and contract management capability, including negotiating and managing managed service providers and software licensing. Excellent, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

• A commercially focused approach with the ability to align technology investment to business outcomes.

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A practical understanding of AI and automation in an enterprise context.
