The Scenic Rim is a region of opportunity surrounded by World Heritage-listed national parks and is well renowned for its breathtaking scenery, agricultural and tourism industries, whilst situated close to the major centres of Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast.

About this opportunity
This position is responsible for providing a positive, professional and personalised customer service experience to internal and external customers of Scenic Rim Regional Council, via all channels of customer interaction.
The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.
Additionally, you’ll also …
• Manage customer complaints in a proactive and sensitive manner, ensuring the customer is referred to the appropriate department as required.
• Manage customer transactions, process Council applications, cash handling, end-of-day business processes, reconciliations and daily banking.
• Record and input service requests into Council’s customer request management systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Deliver an exceptional level of customer care to all customers of Council, both internal and external, by effectively managing customer enquiries, service requests and transactions via a multi-channel customer care and engagement center.
About you…
• Have the ability to rotate between Scenic Rim Reginal Council counter locations across the Administration and Customer Service Centres, according to business needs.
• A Certificate IV in Business Administration or Customer Engagement or other relevant qualification, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
• Demonstrated cash handling skills including receipting and EFTPOS transactions.
• Ability to identify customer needs and problem solve using critical thinking skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively to provide a positive customer experience.
