About the role
Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation firmly committed to helping people and communities thrive. We deliver a variety of programmes to assist individuals and families.
Our culture is the foundation upon which everything else is built. That’s why we invest in building an environment where our people feel supported and motivated to help make our vision a reality. We believe that a collective effort that draws upon the diverse strengths of all staff create the best results.
The diverse background and perspectives of our staff, the people we support, and our inclusive and collaborative culture are the keys to our success.
We are seeking an experienced, values-driven and motivated leader to manage our Individual and Family Counselling services across Tasmania.
This leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of counselling services supporting individuals, children, young people and families experiencing relationship distress, life transitions, trauma, conflict, and mental health and wellbeing challenges.
As a member of the RA Tas Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Executive and fellow Managers to deliver high-quality, safe, child-focused and evidence-informed services that respond to complex family needs, meet funding requirements and support organisational priorities.
In this role, you will lead accessible, inclusive, client-centred and trauma-informed counselling services. You will ensure strong clinical and practice governance, including effective risk screening, ethical decision-making and quality assurance, particularly in matters involving family violence, high conflict and child safety concerns.
You will lead a multidisciplinary workforce, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development and reflective practice while overseeing service performance and reporting requirements.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will contribute to strategic planning, service development and funding opportunities, build strong partnerships with funding bodies, sector partners and communities, and fulfil senior safeguarding responsibilities to promote child-safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces.
Do you fit the bill
Postgraduate qualifications and knowledge of the Tasmanian community services sector will be highly regarded.
