About the role

About the role
We are currently seeking a Theatre Bookings Clerk to join our Perioperative Theatre Department.
In this role, you will work closely with caregivers to coordinate patient procedures and admissions, acting as a key point of contact for clinicians, practice managers, and medical representatives. You will ensure timely and accurate communication while providing administrative support through theatre reception duties, including managing telephone enquiries, coordinating correspondence, and professionally welcoming patients, visitors, and stakeholders.
The department supports a broad range of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Neurosurgery, Plastics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Gastroenterology, with a focus on both inpatient and day surgery procedures.
This permanent part-time position offers up to 64 hours per fortnight, with shifts rostered Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 6:00pm, and occasional Saturday work as required. You will join a dynamic and supportive theatre team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence.
Your skills and experience
You will have experience in hospital patient administration systems, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong focus on customer service. You will demonstrate effective time management, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads efficiently, while contributing positively as an active team member to a productive team environment.
To succeed, you will have advanced skills and knowledge across a range of computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite. You will demonstrate the ability to make appropriate decisions in your work, applying sound knowledge and technical expertise to deliver accurate and efficient outcomes.

The Benefits
Salary: $63,245 to $65,027 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part-time role (up to 64 hours per fortnight).
