Accountant

The Role 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge who enjoys working with multiple clients and delivering high-quality financial and tax outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities 

•  Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. 

•  Assist with external audit engagements, including review of financial records, audit testing, and documentation. 

•  Perform financial and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and support reporting outcomes. 

•  Prepare and review BAS and other statutory filings to ensure compliance with ATO requirements. 

•  Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, including the ATO and ASIC, on accounting, audit, and compliance matters. 

•  Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and audit adjustments. 

• Assist senior accountants with advisory, audit, and compliance work. 

About You 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or CPA / CA qualification ongoing or willingness to commence a related discipline 

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant accounting experience 

• International accounting exposure will be viewed positively and add value to the firm. 

• Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation requirements 

• Experience using Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks 

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
