Licensed Plumber with Qualified Supervisor Certificate

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Plumber to join the ProGroup team, completing plumbing works across both commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This would be the Company's first Plumber role within the business. We hope to expand our resourcing in this area and over time, hire some apprentices to expand the team.

The position requires an experienced, licensed plumber who can work independently, deliver high-quality outcomes, and ensure all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to client satisfaction. We also need a Plumber with their Qualified Supervisor Certificate to add to our Company Building Licence to allow us to complete Plumbing Works without the use of subcontractors.

As our project and customer sites are located across Greater Sydney, currently with a strong concentration in Western Sydney, you will need to travel regularly to various sites.

What you'll be doing

• As the Company's only Plumber, perform plumbing works including installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply, drainage, gas, and other systems in residential and commercial settings.

• Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

• Independently assess, scope, and quote plumbing works.

• Liaise with Facilities Manager/Project Supervisor/Managers to plan and deliver project activities within agreed timeframes and budgets.

• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reports.

• Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and management to resolve issues promptly and professionally.

• Ensure adherence to ProGroup’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and HSEQ policies.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by reporting non-conformities and suggesting process enhancements.

• Supervise and provide guidance to subcontractors (or apprentices or in the future when we expand our team).

What we're looking for

• Current and valid Plumbing License with QSC in addition to Licence.

• Demonstrated experience in plumbing across both residential and commercial environments.

• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Building Codes, and plumbing regulations.

• Gas fitting accreditation is highly desirable.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.

• Valid White Card and Working with Children Check.

• Current driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites across greater Sydney.

• Medical assessment required for this role.
