The Bower Hotel is one of Toowoomba's newest hospitality destinations, offering exceptional food, premium beverages, modern gaming and genuine country hospitality. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver outstanding guest experiences while supporting the day-to-day operation of the venue.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, mentoring teams and creating a positive culture in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the venue, leading shifts across the bar, bistro and gaming areas while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist in managing venue operations, ensuring a high standard of service.

• Work collaboratively with the team to implement strategies that enhance customer experience.

• Uphold high standards of service, presentation, and product offerings.

• Managing labour, stock control and cash handling to maximise operational efficiency.

• Ensuring compliance with RSA, RSG, food safety, venue procedures and company policies.

• Completing shift reporting, daily administration and operational checklists accurately.

• Maintaining high presentation standards and a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

• Provide leadership and support across various shifts including a mix of days, nights and weekends.

Skills and Experience

You are a confident hospitality leader who leads by example and enjoys building high-performing teams.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2+ years experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a hotel, pub or hospitality venue.

• Preferred RMLV and Approved Managers Licence.

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

• A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Sound knowledge of gaming operations, food and beverage service and venue compliance.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

• Current Queensland RSA and RSG certifications (essential).
