Lodge Maintenance Officer

Lodge Maintenance Officer – Full time

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Lodge Maintenance Officer who is committed to providing high-quality maintenance services and ensuring the facility is safe, functional, and well-maintained.

The successful candidate will use effective communication skills to work collaboratively with staff, contractors, and management while delivering responsive and reliable facility maintenance services.  

Banksia is a highly respected, single-site not-for-profit and charitable organisation delivering quality aged care services in the beautiful seaside village of Broulee, located on the South Coast of NSW. We provide care and support across three integrated services:

• 121 independent living villas in our retirement village
• An 80-bed residential aged care facility
• Community care services

What you’ll do:

• Respond to maintenance requests and undertake general repairs, handyman, trade and labouring duties
• Complete scheduled maintenance, cyclical inspections and routine tasks using appropriate tools and light equipment
• Support refurbishment and project work as directed, while promoting safe, high-quality outcomes

What you’ll need:

• Trade certificate or relevant maintenance experience
• Current Chief Fire Warden qualification
• At least 1 years’ experience in trade, handyman or facilities maintenance
• Strong WHS knowledge and commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills
• Friendly, reliable and respectful when working with residents, staff and contractors
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure
• Healthcare, aged care, hospital or commercial experience highly desirable
