Cisco is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team supporting Public Safety and Emergency Services organisations across Victoria.

In this customer-facing role, you'll partner with account teams and serve as a trusted technical advisor to organisations responsible for protecting and supporting the community. You'll help customers address complex operational challenges and design technology solutions that enable secure communications, resilience, situational awareness, and mission-critical outcomes.

Working across Cisco's portfolio of networking, security, collaboration, cloud, AI infrastructure, and IoT solutions, you'll collaborate with specialists, engineering teams, partners, and customer success resources to deliver meaningful outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle.

You'll join a team of high-performing Solutions Engineers who are passionate about innovation, continuous learning, and helping customers solve some of their most important technology challenges.

Your Impact

• Support Public Safety and Emergency Services organisations across Victoria as a trusted technical advisor.
• Partner with account teams to understand customer priorities, operational requirements, and long-term goals.
• Design and present innovative technology solutions that address complex business and mission-critical challenges.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, demonstrations, solution design activities, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Build strong relationships with technical leaders, architects, operators, and executive stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business and operational value for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with Cisco specialists, partners, and customer success teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
• Help customers realise value from Cisco technologies through adoption, innovation, and ongoing engagement.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry developments, and trends shaping the Public Safety and Emergency Services sector.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, data centre, cloud, or related technology environments.
• Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, consulting, architecture, or engineering role.
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Networking, Security, Collaboration, Cloud and AI Infrastructure, or Internet of Things (IoT).
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to connect technical solutions to business and operational outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Public Safety, Emergency Services, Government, Healthcare, or other critical infrastructure organisations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex challenges.
• Experience leading customer presentations, workshops, and technical demonstrations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams while managing priorities independently.
