About the Role

We are seeking a Manager Processing to lead the commissioning and ongoing operations of the Hillside processing plant, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable processing of ore. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, managing the development and commissioning of plant processes, and driving operational performance across the processing function.

This role will be based at our Hillside project, near Ardrossan, South Australia, and offers an exciting opportunity to support site start-up and ongoing operations of a major greenfield project.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Overseeing the commissioning, start-up and ongoing operations of the processing plant, ensuring equipment, systems and processes operate safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements and design specifications.

• Coordinating the engineering, construction and commissioning teams to support plant readiness and resolve technical challenges during start-up.

• Managing day-to-day operations and plant performance to achieve throughput, recovery and product quality targets, while optimising the use of labour, equipment and materials to maximise efficiency.

• Leading the identification and resolution of plant performance issues, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and quality standards.

• Developing, implementing and continuously improving standard operating procedures and processing practices across all stages of the operation.

• Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team and fostering a culture of technical competency, safety awareness, accountability and high performance.

• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental and regulatory standards, including risk management and environmental controls.

• Working closely with mine planning, maintenance and logistics teams, as well as contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities, to support integrated and successful processing operations.
  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 10+ years’ experience in processing plant operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

• Experience in the commission and start-up of processing plants, preferably within the mining industry.

• Strong knowledge of mineral processing methods and plant operations.

• Proven ability to optimise performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and drive continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a high-performance operational environment.

• Strong understanding and proactive approach to safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
