Position: Head of House - Shalom College, Bundaberg
Start date: January 2027
Employment Status: Full-Time (in conjunction with a permanent Teaching Role)  
Salary: $106,135 - $144,259 (dependent on experience)

What we are looking for:

Shalom College, Bundaberg seeks applications from suitably qualified established and aspiring leaders to undertake the middle leadership positions of Head of House. These are Middle Leader positions commencing from January 2027, in conjunction with a permanent teaching role at the college. 

We seek passionate leaders who will strive for excellence in teaching, administration, professional conduct, relationships with parents and the wider school community and a genuine interest for young people and their learning. 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• An ability to develop and lead quality teaching and learning practices

• A willingness to proactively engage with professional development opportunities to enhance quality pedagogy and student outcomes

• An ability to work in collaboration with the Leadership Team and other staff members to contribute to the future planned growth, development and extra-curricular life of the College

Shalom College, Bundaberg is a Secondary Catholic College administered by Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton. Its 1500 students from Year 7 to 12 students are offered a diverse curriculum through a modern, well-equipped school with a wide range of co-curricular activities including instrumental music, choirs, interschool sport, retreats, camps and various clubs and societies.

Mandatory Requirements 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
