Why This Role
This is not a traditional Supervisor or Client Manager role where you inherit a fixed portfolio, sit under several Partners and mainly review compliance work. This is an opportunity to help build a new Adelaide office for a growing national tax and business services firm.

You will step into a role with genuine ownership, direct Partner support and a clear pathway toward Client Director as the South Australian business continues to expand. The firm already has established offices across Sydney and Melbourne, an existing South Australian client base, a Partner leading the region and a clear plan to grow in Adelaide. They are now looking for the right person to become a key part of that growth.

What makes this different is the structure around you. The firm has central operational support, a client experience team, offshore support, dedicated marketing and a sales function to help generate and convert new work.

This is a strong opportunity for an ambitious Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Manager who wants more than a standard public practice role and is interested in building something with long-term upside.

About Our Client
Our client is a growing national accounting and business services firm with established offices across Sydney and Melbourne and an expanding presence in South Australia.

The firm works primarily with small business owners, private clients and growing businesses. Their typical business clients are in the $1m to $10m revenue range, with some larger clients above $10m and $50m. The firm has a strong focus on practical advice, client relationships and helping business owners make better decisions.

The Role
As Client Manager, you will take ownership of your own client ledger and help further establish the firm's Adelaide presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of business services and tax clients
• Building genuine relationships with small business owners
• Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and compliance work
• Providing tax advice across FBT, Division 7A, GST, CGT concessions and related matters
• Advising clients on budgets, business planning and personal financial affairs
• Supporting clients with practical commercial guidance and decision-making
• Managing client relationships from end to end
• Working closely with the South Australian Partner and broader national leadership team
• Helping shape the culture, systems and standards of the Adelaide office
• Contributing to the growth of the local client ledger
• Working with central support teams across client experience, marketing, sales and administration
• Leveraging offshore support as the portfolio grows
• Hiring, training and developing local support staff as the Adelaide office expands
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff as the team develops

This is a role for someone who wants to move beyond being an employee in an established structure and step into a position where they can help build the structure.

What You'll Bring

• Strong Australian public practice experience in business services and tax
• Current Senior Accountant, Supervisor or Manager level experience
• Readiness to step into broader client ownership and leadership responsibility
• Strong technical capability across tax, compliance and business advisory work
• Ability to manage client relationships with confidence and care
• Experience advising small business owners
• Strong communication skills and a people-focused approach
• Ability to work with autonomy in a growing office environment
• Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in client outcomes
• Tech-savvy approach and comfort with cloud-based systems
• Motivation to build toward broader leadership responsibility
• Interest in hiring, mentoring and developing a team over time
• Strong work ethic, initiative and accountability
