Data and Insights Analyst

AGL are looking for a Data and Insights Analyst to join the Optimisation team. You will support the delivery of key Customer Market Operations objectives across onshore and offshore teams. Working across a variety of projects, you'll lead transition and communication activities, including process documentation, training delivery, remediation support, and assessing operational impacts to back-office workflows.
You'll also play a key role in managing and enhancing digital customer channels, including Instant Messaging and Webchat, using data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you'll proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce cost to serve, and drive continuous improvement through effective change implementation.
What you’ll be doing:Perform a range of data aggregation, data transformation, and insights, including documentation of procedures for data extract, cleansing and reporting including any underlying assumptions and methodologies to enable repeatable processes for data analysisInvestigate data quality issues and take appropriate action to notify suppliers and other business areas for correction of source data.Deliver strategic analysis that results in value-add recommendations and perform ‘what-if’ scenario modelling to assess the impacts of changes and operational opportunities.Scope impacts on work volume due to projects and initiatives and communicate these in the required timeframes to our offshore delivery partners.
What you’ll bring:Experience working with SQL, Power BI, Python specially in database object design, query optimisation and stored procedures.Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to provide valuable foresight from data in a timely fashion.Effective project management skills, with ability to coordinate delivery across concurrent small initiatives, managing and balancing the needs of each to realise full benefits for the businessAbility to build, collate and present meaningful reports (as directed) at a strategic management level and at an operational level.
