Onboarding / Training Officer

VEX Group Pty Ltd are seeking an organised and proactive Onboarding / Training Officer to support our onboarding, training and workforce compliance processes. This role will assist with new starter onboarding, pre-employment requirements, training records, induction uploads, uniform coordination, recruitment administration and general training support across the business.

Working closely with the Training Coordinator and wider operations team, this position plays an important role in ensuring employees and subcontractors have a smooth, professional and compliant onboarding experience.

What you will be doing:

• Coordinate seamless onboarding experiences for new employees and subcontractors 

• Book pre-employment checks and QLD Coal Board medicals through ResHealth 

• Manage employee training records, licences and certificates, ensuring records remain accurate, compliant and up to date, with refresher training booked as required.

• Coordinate new starter uniform and PPE orders as part of the onboarding process 

• Assist with SEEK advertising and recruitment administration in line with business needs, working closely with Directors

• Assist the Training Coordinator with uploading inductions and training requirements as needed

• Provide a positive and professional experience for employees and subcontractors 

• Maintain skills and compliance matrices to support training requirements for shutdowns, projects and general workforce needs.

• Assist with general office operations when required

What we're looking for:

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail 

• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with employees, subcontractors, clients and internal stakeholders

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word 

• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion 

• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn site systems and onboarding processes

• Familiarity with BMA, Glencore induction systems and QLD Coal Board medicals is highly regarded

• Previous experience in training administration, onboarding, mobilisation, recruitment administration or workforce compliance will be highly regarded
