Kitchen All Rounder

About the role

Barcino Bread is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen All Rounder to join our dynamic team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality kitchen environment where your versatility and passion for food preparation will be valued. As a Kitchen All Rounder, you will be at the heart of our operations, contributing to the preparation and presentation of quality food that delights our customers every day.

FULL TIME HOURS AVAILABLE

Monday - Friday

6am - 2pm - ( may include the odd weekend)

And Part time hours available (Weekends Included)

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items in accordance with company recipes and standards

• Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and food preparation tools

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety in compliance with health and safety regulations

• Assisting with food portioning and plating to ensure consistency and quality across all orders

• Supporting sandwich and bread preparation, including assembling, wrapping, and labelling items

• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including regular cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and surfaces

• Receiving and storing ingredients and supplies appropriately

• Responding to customer requests and dietary requirements with flexibility and professionalism

• Contributing to inventory management and alerting management to stock requirements

• Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment, ideally in a casual dining or bakery setting

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, or willingness to obtain relevant certification

• Proficiency in using standard kitchen equipment and tools

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high presentation standards

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Excellent time management and organisational skills in a busy environment

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for shift work

• A positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction

• Basic mathematical skills for portions and stock management

• Preferably, experience with sandwich making, bread handling, or pastry preparation would be advantageous
