Are you a highly experienced and motivated Workshop Manager looking to join a growing and dynamic automotive service centre? Total Auto Centre in Brighton, VIC is seeking an exceptional individual to take on this full-time role and lead our team of skilled technicians. As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring exceptional customer service and the highest standards of quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the workshop team, including scheduling, training and performance management
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
• Providing technical guidance and support to the technician team
• Maintaining workshop efficiency and productivity targets
• Liaising with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates
• Monitoring and maintaining workshop equipment and tools
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Contributing to the development of workshop policies and procedures

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Workshop Manager or similar senior role in the automotive industry
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams
• In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in using workshop management software
• Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
