Registered Nurse Recovery/ PACU

About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in PACU / Recovery to join our clinical team on a part time basis with a minimum 54 hours per fortnight. Experience in Paediatrics desirable.

Great work/ life balance - Monday to Friday flexible roster, no on call shifts or public holidays.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

• Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
• Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
• Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
• Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
• Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
• Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift

About You:

You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

• Solid experience in Recovery/ PACU nursing
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in Paediatrics desirable
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills  
• A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care 
• Experience in below specialties desirable
