About the role

Lumus Imaging are hiring for a Permanent Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join their team. This role is based in Kippa-Ring at Peninsula Private and will require very occasional travel to other clinics, including Nundah/Sandgate, Murrumba Downs, Strathpine and Northlakes to provide coverage when required. Working hours are varying shifts between 7:30 am - 5pm, Monday-Friday.

For the right candidate, there is also the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, should this arrangement be desired and operational requirements allow.

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds. While previous medical reception experience would be highly regarded, it is not essential. We would love to hear from individuals who have strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care.

As a Medical Receptionist you will play an essential role in the experience our patients have when they visit our clinic for medical imaging appointments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be providing reception services and acting as the first point of contact for patients and practitioners. This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience working with people both face to face and over the phone as well as being able to navigate various technology and systems.

Key responsibilities

•              Welcoming patients and providing a professional and compassionate first impression

•              Managing patient bookings, referrals, and enquiries (in person and via phone)

•              Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records

•              Processing Medicare, billing, and payment transactions

•              Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic

About you

•              Experience in a healthcare or medical reception/admin role is desirable but not essential

•              Strong communication and customer service skills

•              High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities

•              Confidence using computers and administrative systems

•              A team-focused attitude with a genuine commitment to patient care
