About the Pharmacy & Its Aged Care Services

The pharmacy is expanding its Aged Care Services, supporting a substantial number of residential aged care homes. The operation is modern, efficient, and focused on delivering high-quality care.

You’ll be working with:

• State-of-the-art technology, including the latest Automated Medication Sachet Packing Machine

• Advanced software systems including FRED and MedPoint

• Multiple packaging solutions including multi-dose sachets, MPS Packettes® and Websterpak®

• An efficient workflow designed to give pharmacists more time for clinical focus and medication management.

Your Role

You’ll receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing support from an experienced team.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with the Aged Care Manager, pharmacists, and technicians

• Working in a hospital-style pharmacy environment with minimal public interaction

• Reviewing and managing medication charts for aged care residents

• Liaising with doctors, nurses, and clinical staff regarding therapy changes

• Checking medication sachets against updated charts

• Assisting with quarterly drug-usage reports

• Option of working shifts in the retail pharmacy for those wanting to maintain their retail skills

This role will suit a pharmacist who is computer-savvy, organised and enjoys structured clinical work.

Work Environment & Schedule

Roster includes:

• 4-day week – 9am to 5pm

• An alternating weekend roster Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 1pm–5pm

• After hours every 4th week, it reduces in frequency as the team expands.

Flexibility is appreciated, and the owner values team players who are willing to support each other when needed.
