Bar Supervisor - Pool Bar | Full time | InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach

What is the role?

Working as Bar Supervisor in our newly refurbished pool bar, you will bring energy and exceptional service to our luxury poolside experience. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the pool bar, ensuring outstanding guest experience, a high standard of food and beverage service, and a safe, welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

• Supervise daily pool bar operations to ensure exceptional service standards.

• Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver memorable guest experiences.

• Conduct team briefings, training and performance feedback sessions.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA, WHS and company standards.

• Monitor stock levels, ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.

• Drive beverage sales through product knowledge and upselling techniques.

• Handle guest enquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.

• Maintain high presentation standards across the bar, pool deck and service areas.

• Support revenue growth while controlling costs and minimising waste.

• Must have valid work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not possible)

• Previous supervisory experience in a bar, pool bar, restaurant or hospitality environment.

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cocktail service.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• WSET qualification is an advantage (or equivalent wine and beverage certification) preferred, with a strong knowledge of wine and spirits and demonstrated learning in the beverage industry.

• Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster – evenings, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
