Warehouse and Yard Hand

We’re a growing recycling and resource recovery business specialising in tyre shredding and the recovery of reusable materials. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse & Yard Hand to join our team and help keep our warehouse, yard and recycling operations running safely and efficiently.

This is a predominantly warehouse and yard-based role, involving manual handling, sorting and preparing materials, assisting with recycling operations, loading and unloading, and keeping the site clean, organised and safe.

The role also includes occasional trips with our truck driver to assist with collections of tyres and other recyclable materials. You will not be required to drive the truck.

• Location: Bayswater – warehouse and yard based

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

• Employment: Casual employment, with work offered according to business requirements and workload. Initially, we expect the role to be approximately 2–3 days per week, however hours may vary from week to week.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Receive and unload incoming materials and deliveries.

• Load outgoing materials and assist with preparing materials for collection.

• Sort, move and stage tyres and other recyclable materials.

• Assist with feeding and operating around recycling and shredding machinery – full training provided.

• Assist our truck driver with collections of tyres and other recyclable materials around Melbourne.

• Load and unload materials during collections and deliveries.

• Move materials safely around the warehouse and yard.

• Maintain the warehouse and yard in a clean, organised and safe condition.

• Carry out general warehouse and yard duties, including stock handling and basic inventory checks.

• Follow safe work procedures and use equipment correctly.

• Assist the team with other practical tasks as required.

This is a hands-on role and involves regular manual handling and physical work.

• Are happy to travel around Melbourne with our truck driver when required for collections.

• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia – no sponsorship is available.

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

• Warehouse or yard work

• Recycling or resource recovery

• Manufacturing

• Logistics or transport

• Labouring or other hands-on work

A current forklift licence (LF) and forklift experience would also be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Previous recycling experience is not required – training will be provided to the right person.
