Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a world-class, tier-one asset with a 20+ year mine life, and our Sustainability division is central to how we deliver on that opportunity responsibly.

The Environment and Heritage function sits within our Sustainability division, working closely with operational teams, regulators, and Traditional Owners to ensure Kathleen Valley meets its environmental, heritage, and Native Title obligations while supporting the site's ongoing growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Environment and Heritage Manager, this role provides advanced specialist expertise in environmental management to drive compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across Liontown's operations and projects.

You'll lead the implementation and ongoing development of the Environmental Management System, provide authoritative advice on environmental compliance obligations, and work closely with operational teams, regulators, and key stakeholders to resolve complex, non-routine compliance challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the implementation and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, approvals, licences, and ISO 14001 standards
• Provide specialist advice on environmental management and compliance to the Head of Sustainability and operational teams
• Ensure environmental monitoring obligations are fulfilled, including timely execution of monitoring programs and rigorous QA/QC of performance data across air, water, waste, land, flora, and fauna
• Own the environmental incident management procedure, leading investigations and driving corrective and preventative actions to minimise environmental impacts
• Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and compliance reviews, ensuring findings are followed through to resolution
• Develop and deliver environmental training and guidance to employees and contractors, building workforce awareness, capability, and accountability

What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in a senior environmental role, with demonstrated capability across environmental compliance, monitoring, and management system implementation
• Advanced knowledge of environmental management systems, compliance frameworks, and monitoring methodologies, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements
• Proven knowledge of State and Federal environmental and heritage legislation, and experience managing regulatory relationships and compliance reporting obligations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare regulatory reports, deliver training, and engage across operational and technical audiences
• Current Western Australian C Class driver's licence; ISO 14001 lead auditor certification is desirable
