Estimator / Project Manager

About the Role

MST Constructions are seeking a versatile Estimator / Project Manager to join our team to assist the management and onsite teams in bridging the gap between tendering to on-site construction stages. In this dual-focus role, you will share ownership of projects.

You will spend roughly 60-70% of your time providing take-offs for materials, labour and equipment, requesting pricing for materials from existing and new suppliers to accurately price tendering projects and 30-40% managing timelines, assisting MST Constructions site management, variations associated with current projects, and liaising with builders’ management teams

 Your role will consist of;

·        Estimate: Interpret construction drawings for tendering information, conduct full material take-offs, and compile competitive and accurate tenders for ceilings and partition packages.

·        Procure: Negotiate supplier pricing and continue to build strong relationships with current and new suppliers, builders and subcontractors.

·        Manage: Assist offsite and onsite management with delivering of projects, maintain project schedules and the like.

·        Communicate: Act as a person that can be called upon as a main point of contact for management teams and supervisors, builders, clients and consultants.

·        Control: Manage variations, Request for information and ordering of materials.

 What We Are Looking For

·        Proven Experience: Previous experience working as an Estimator, Project Manager or a combined role within construction.

·        Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with estimating and management software such as Buildxact, Procore and Excel.

·        Strong Network: Established relationships with local suppliers, builders and other clients.

·        Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation ability, sharp time management, and a solutions-focused mindset.
