About the role
Who we are:
At PICHA Group, we specialise in elevating national brands through innovative signage, fabrication, and retail solutions. From design through to manufacturing and installation, we deliver complete solutions that create memorable brand experiences across Australia.
About the role:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated CNC Operator to join our signage department. This full-time role is heavily focused on CNC routering, laser cutting, file management, and material preparation, and plays a critical part in the day to day flow of our production environment.
You will be hands-on with CNC and laser operation, quality control, material handling, and troubleshooting, working on high-quality signage for national brands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to build strong technical skills, learn from an experienced team, and contribute to a wide range of exciting projects
About you:
We're far more interested in attitude than industry experience. You'll be organised, hands-on and comfortable working independently under production deadlines, with a genuine interest in learning CNC and laser equipment, software and file formats. A commercial mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach matter more to us than ticking every box below.
You'll ideally have at least 3 years experience in one or more of the following:
CNC Routing, Laser Cutting or Operation
Signage Fabrication or Manufacturing
Cabinet Making, Joinery or a related trade
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC routering and laser cutting equipment according to design specifications, interpreting files and troubleshooting minor issues as they come up.
Prepare and manage materials (metal, aluminium, acrylics, vinyl), including cutting, drilling and shaping
Conduct quality checks throughout production and resolve issues in file execution or material handling before they affect the finished product.
Work closely with the design and fabrication teams, keeping the Production Manager updated on progress and any delays.
Follow workplace health and safety protocols, including consistent PPE use, and keep your work area clean and compliant.
Why You'll Love Working with Us
Quarterly RDO and staff wellbeing days.
Exposure to a wide variety of industries, products and clients, where no two days are the same.
A fun, collaborative and supportive team environment.
Genuine opportunities for career progression as the business grows.
Ongoing learning and professional development.
Ready to Join Us?
If you're someone who takes pride in precise, high-quality work and wants to build a career with a growing signage business, we'd love to hear from you.
Submit your resume and cover letter telling us about your experience and why you're excited to work at PICHA Group.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Salary is commensurate with experience.
