Mulford is a trusted Australian supplier to the building industry, and we are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Production Lead Hand to join our fibreglass manufacturing team in Dandenong South.

• Permanent, full-time position with a growing manufacturing business

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexibility as required

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Lead Hand will oversee day-to-day production activities and provide hands-on leadership to the manufacturing team.

You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity and operational discipline.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team, solving problems and finding ways to improve production processes.

• Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand and delivery schedules

• Lead, support and develop production team members

• Monitor production performance, KPIs and output against targets

• Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives

• Identify and investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions

• Maintain high standards of workplace safety, housekeeping and operational discipline

• Ensure production processes and procedures are followed consistently

• Support the Plant Manager with day-to-day operational requirements

• Contribute to improved productivity, efficiency and overall operational performance

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment

• Previous experience in a Production Lead Hand, Supervisor, Production Manager or similar leadership role

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop team members

• Experience monitoring production KPIs and driving continuous improvement

• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

• A dependable and punctual approach, with pride in the quality of your work

• A strong commitment to workplace safety

• The physical ability to lift and carry long sheets weighing up to 20 kg

• A current Forklift Licence

• Full working rights in Australia

This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a busy production environment. The successful applicant will be required to follow all workplace health and safety procedures. PPE will be provided, and safety standards will be continuously monitored and maintained.
