LGBTIQ+ Health Australia (LHA) is the national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people and communities.

LHA works with legislators, policymakers, and service providers to help them understand and address the needs of LGBTIQ+ people and communities. We support LHA members to have a stronger policy voice and partner with researchers across the country on issues of LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing.

About The Role

The Business Improvement and Systems Lead will lead a focused organisational improvement project to review, implement and embed improved systems, processes and ways of working across LHA.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and Operations, this role will be responsible for implementing recommendations arising from organisational reviews of Microsoft 365, business systems and operational processes.

The role will lead the development of consistent organisational approaches to collaboration, project management, information management, reporting, approvals and workflow processes. A key focus of the role will be using advanced Microsoft 365 capability to design and implement practical solutions across tools including Microsoft Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Forms, Lists and Approvals.

Working closely with staff, managers and executives, you will improve organisational efficiency, strengthen digital capability and support sustainable ways of working beyond the life of the project. This is a fixed-term project role

What you will do

The primary focus of the Business Improvement Lead role is to identify and implement improvements to business processes, systems and ways of working across the organisation. The position will work closely with internal teams and staff to improve the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Planner and related systems. The role will support teams to streamline processes, improve collaboration, strengthen information management and develop more efficient ways of working. The position will provide facilitation, coordination and business improvement support across LHA and may assume tasks associated with other organisational improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for

• Demonstrated experience leading business improvement, systems implementation or organisational change initiatives.
• Advanced experience implementing and optimising Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, Planner and SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of workflow design, digital collaboration tools and information management practices.
• Experience reviewing, documenting and improving business processes.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, standards and operational procedures.
• Demonstrated experience delivering training, capability building and change management activities.
• Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, Planner.
• Experience using project management, workflow and collaboration tools
