Warehouse Operator – High Reach / RF Scanning

About the role

This is a hands-on role combining forklift operations, order picking and dispatch with significant use of warehouse technology. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently across warehouse activities while maintaining accurate system transactions, stock records and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Complete dispatch activities, including checking orders and preparing paperwork.

• Operate high-reach forklifts within double-deep racking.

• Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to complete stock movements and transactions.

• Load and unload trucks safely.

• Receive, check and put away incoming stock.

• Complete stock transfers, replenishment and material staging.

• Participate in cycle counts, stocktakes and discrepancy investigations.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete all required documentation.

• Follow FEFO, stock rotation and location-control requirements.

About you

• A current Australian forklift licence.

• Demonstrated high-reach forklift experience.

• Experience operating within double-deep racking.

• Previous pick-and-pack, warehousing and dispatch experience.

• Confidence using RF scanners, Warehouse Management Systems and computer-based inventory systems.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

• Experience completing stocktakes and investigating stock discrepancies.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet dispatch deadlines.

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and safe forklift operation.

Highly regarded

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, food warehousing or another regulated manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food-safety requirements.

• Familiarity with BRCGS or similar quality and food-safety standards.

• Experience with FEFO-controlled inventory.
