Excel Pest & Property Services is a family-owned and operated business servicing the Hunter Valley, Maitland, Newcastle and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on providing professional, reliable and friendly service to our residential and commercial clients.

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance / Handyman to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid building and property maintenance experience who enjoys variety, working independently and taking pride in a job well done.

The position could be particularly well suited to a semi-retired tradesperson or experienced handyman, or someone simply looking for flexible casual work without the commitment of a full-time role.

About the Role

You’ll assist with a variety of general property maintenance and repair jobs across residential and commercial properties.

Work may include:

• General building and property maintenance

• Minor repairs and handyman work

• Carpentry and general repair work

• Doors, locks, handles and fittings

• Patching and minor maintenance

• General upkeep of residential and commercial properties

• Other maintenance tasks as required

No two days are necessarily the same, so we’re looking for someone practical, capable and comfortable turning their hand to a variety of jobs.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have previous building, handyman or property maintenance experience

• Have good practical skills and can confidently carry out general repairs

• Are reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Take pride in your workmanship

• Have a friendly and professional manner when dealing with customers

• Have your own reliable vehicle

• Have your own basic tools

• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence

• Are looking for flexible, casual work

Trade experience or a building background would be highly regarded.
