About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated House Supervisor to lead one of our supported accommodation services while providing exceptional, person-centred support to a participant with complex support needs.This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational management with direct participant support. You will lead and mentor a team of Disability Support Workers while ensuring services are delivered safely, consistently, and in accordance with Myxa's values, organisational policies, and the NDIS Practice Standards.As you will be supporting a participant who is immunocompromised, you will be required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout each shift, including an N95 mask, gown or apron, and shoe covers. Applicants must be comfortable working in this environment.This role is ideal for an experienced disability professional who is confident supporting participants with complex needs while leading a team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support a team of Disability Support Workers within a supported accommodation setting.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service to ensure high-quality, person-centred supports are delivered.Collaborate with allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.Implement and monitor Positive Behaviour Support strategies, risk management plans, and trauma-informed practices.Ensure participant documentation including incident reports, progress notes and care records are accurate, and compliant.Coordinate staff inductions, training and ongoing development.Conduct regular supervision sessions, coaching, and performance reviews.Promote a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and actively promote a safe working environment.Complete compliance reporting, and general administrative duties as required.

You enjoy mentoring others, building strong relationships, and delivering high-quality supports that promote dignity, independence, and choice.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:A strong understanding of the NDIS, NDIS Practice Standards, and person-centred support.Extensive experience supporting participants with complex support needs.Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies and supporting people with behaviours of concern.A sound understanding of trauma-informed practice and the ability to apply these principles in everyday support.Excellent communication skills, including experience using communication supports where required.The ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships with participants, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and professional in challenging or high-pressure situations.Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Excellent written communication and documentation skills.The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative leadership team.A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and best-practice service delivery.
